If you're anything like me, you want to know what you're actually getting before you pay anyone anything. So let me walk you through it.
Same container, same sessions. You choose the way that fits, and we can change our minds at any point.
Most people come with a goal or a dilemma in mind. A relationship concern, entrepreneurship in limbo, chronic procrastination, the list goes on and on. Over a series of sessions we map out the areas of your life we need to focus on, and where the block may be coming from. Often there are shadows to uncover and work through. We can also work through your individual hero's journey: where you are on it, and where we need to help you get to.
You don't need a clear goal in advance. If you prefer, your sessions can be directed solely by the unconscious: each one starts with whatever is most present for you. A dream, a conversation that stuck, something your body has been doing all week. We follow it completely and let it lead. This suits you if there's no single burning question, you just know something needs to move.
I don't give advice. I work with you, and with the languages your inner self actually speaks.
The nightly letters you've been leaving unopened.
The parts you've pushed out of sight, still quietly steering.
Subdued instincts, and what your body does before you've had a thought about it.
The pictures and moments that keep coming back to you, uninvited.
The way you tell your life, and what that telling reveals.
The people and the life you've created around you. They're saying something too.
One hour. We start the actual work in the first ten minutes. You leave with the shape of what's really in the way, and a first taste of what your own knowing sounds like.
Over the first sessions we find what's actually running things. Usually it's something that once looked like protection, and made complete sense when it started.
Sessions are every two weeks on purpose. What we found in the room starts showing up in your actual life, and you catch it in real time.
Once you can feel the difference between a decision coming from the pattern and one coming from you, the second kind gets very hard to ignore.
Sessions are sixty minutes, on a video call. If you're not sure which way is right for you, that's completely fine. It's the kind of thing we figure out together, usually within the first hour.
It's pronounced YOONG-ee-un, after Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist. His big idea is simple to say: underneath your thinking mind there's an unconscious part of you that communicates through dreams, images, patterns and instincts, and it usually knows what you need long before you've worked it out consciously. Jungian coaching means we work with that part directly, instead of only talking about your week.
No. Therapy looks at where something came from. We work with where you are now and what you're moving toward. We'll touch the past where it's alive in the present, but we don't go excavating. And if something surfaces that belongs in clinical care, I'll tell you plainly and help you find the right practitioner where you live.
Not at all. Some of my clients have done years of it, some none. What matters is readiness: wanting real change and being willing to look at what's underneath. If you've done therapy, this work picks up beautifully where it left off. If you haven't, we simply start where you are.
Often it's the best combination there is. Things can surface in coaching in twenty minutes that take months to reach in therapy, and sometimes what surfaces here needs your therapy space to go deeper into. Tell your therapist you're being coached and check they're comfortable with it.
Totally fine, and you don't have to. Dreams are one way in. There are plenty of others. We'll find the one that's open for you.
Maybe. But notice the word is doing a job. "Woo" is usually what we call things that make us uncomfortable when we don't want to look at why. You're allowed to be sceptical. Bring the scepticism to the session, it's welcome there.
It depends what you consider heavy. I'd call it enlightening, and often the opposite of heavy. Once you discover something that has been waiting to guide you, a direction, a truth, it's uplifting. Exciting, even. Real things surface along the way, and sometimes there are tears. That's welcome, and nothing you bring is too much for the room.
Even better. People who arrive with a tidy agenda usually arrive with the agenda that's been keeping them safe. The thing you don't have words for yet is usually where the real material is.
Yes. 100% confidential. Nothing you bring leaves the room. The only exceptions: where I believe there's a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else, or where the law requires disclosure. These are written in full in the agreement you'll see before we start.
One session will tell you more than another month of thinking about it.
